From preventive to cosmetic, we’ve got your smile covered

Why choose us?

We Believe In First Impressions.

If you’ve recently moved to the area, or you’re looking for a new dentist in Newbury, you can expect a warm welcome before you even step over the threshold at Westbrook House Dental Surgery. When you first get in touch to make your appointment, our friendly reception team will help arrange a suitable appointment time and deal with any queries. And when you arrive, you’ll be greeted by pleasant, compassionate staff and a beautifully refurbished waiting area that feels relaxing and inviting.

We take the time to get to know you.

At your very first appointment with us, you’ll be given a medical questionnaire to fill out, and have an opportunity to adjust any personal details on your file. You’ll be given a full examination by the dentist, which may include digital photographs and X-rays, along with lots of questions about your lifestyle, general health and oral hygiene habits. If a dental problem is identified, this will be discussed fully.

We care about dental anxiety.

Please let us know if you are nervous about seeing the dentist, especially if it has been a long time since your last visit. We’ll listen to your concerns and take things as slowly as you need to ensure you feel comfortable in our care. With the help of technology such as IV sedation and our empathetic team, we aim to give anxious patients a fresh start, developing a healthy, positive new relationship with their dental practice and getting them back on the path to long term oral health.

We offer IV sedation.

With dental sedation in Newbury, we can treat complex and lengthy cases, and break the vicious cycle of dental anxiety. IV sedation combines anaesthesia, analgesia and an anti-anxiety sedative to make you feel deeply relaxed and sleepy. You won’t be unconscious, as with a general anaesthetic, but you won’t experience the sights, smells and sounds of the dental surgery, as you would with a local anaesthetic. IV sedation has an amnesiac effect, so most patients believe they slept through their procedure and have very little memory of it.

We make it personal.

When dental treatment is required, a tailored plan will be drawn up that meets your needs and suits both your lifestyle and your budget. It will detail clearly everything you can expect from our service, and the costs involved. You will have as much time as you need to ask questions and consider your options – including 0% finance. You’ll also be advised of the aftercare you can expect, if you’ll need to take any time off to recover from treatment, and any ongoing care you’ll require, such as future check-ups and hygiene appointments.

We offer comprehensive aftercare.

We won’t send you home after a treatment without a clear understanding of what you need to do to keep your teeth and gums clean and infection-free. We will recall you for follow-up checks and hygiene appointments, and will endeavour to see you as soon as possible if you have any concerns following your treatment.
